Traveling to new destinations is exciting, but it also comes with the challenge of maintaining a skincare routine while adjusting to different climates and time zones.
Here's how I ensure my skin stays happy and healthy on the go!
With hotel stays, air conditioning, or even drier climates, it's easy for your skin to become dehydrated. To combat this, I focus on hydration with toners and serums. I make sure to load up on hydrating products, sometimes dedicating my entire morning routine to moisturizing, especially when traveling to places where the climate can be drying.
SPF is a must, whether you're traveling or at home. I always consider the climate and my activities when picking the right SPF. For example, in Korea, I opted for a moisturizing SPF, while in Bali, I went for a waterproof formula. If I can, I also look for SPFs with added skin-refining benefits for an extra boost.
Even if your skin seems fine, don't leave out your night routine. I always bring a gentle, nourishing retinoid for overnight use, which helps restore my skin after a day of exposure. Depending on how my skin feels, I either apply it before or after moisturizer to lock in the benefits.
By considering these key steps when packing your skincare, you'll ensure your skin stays hydrated, protected, and restored no matter where your travels take you!
