Elk
A large herbivore, the more docile of the deer species. Female deer are slightly smaller than male deer. Female elk have no horns while males do. Their tails are often used to repel mosquitoes and flies to adapt to swampy environments. Elk are good gregarious, good swimmers, and mainly feed on grasses, liverworts and other tender grasses and leaves.
Reindeer
Reindeer, also known as horned deer, is the only animal in the family reindeer. Reindeer are 100-125 cm long and 100-120 cm high at the shoulder. Both males and females have horns, and the long branches of the horns are an important feature of their appearance. The body of the reindeer is covered with light but extremely cold-resistant fur. The coat color of different subspecies and genders is significantly different in different seasons. Reindeer are dark tan in summer. Reindeer are mainly distributed in the circum-Arctic region of the northern hemisphere, including in Eurasia and northern North America and some large islands.
Sika deer
A small to medium-sized deer, males develop horns in the second year, and females have no horns. The sika deer do not live in groups, and the stags tend to live alone. The activity time is concentrated in the morning and evening, and the living area changes with the seasons. In spring, it is mostly on semi-shady slopes. In summer and autumn, it moves to the forest edge area of shady slopes. In winter, it prefers warm sunny slopes. It mainly feeds on grass, fruits, herbs, leaves, trees and crops.
White spotted deer
The spotted deer looks almost the same as the sika deer with some white spots. Spotted deer live in the grasslands and forests of India and Sri Lanka. Likes to live in groups, generally each group can be up to 100 or more. The spotted deer looks very beautiful. The male spotted deer has three-forked horns that can be up to 1 meter long.
Red deer
The red deer are the second largest deer species after the moose and are named for their resemblance to horses, with a dark brown body color and white spots on the back and sides. Red deer live in alpine forests or grasslands, love to live in groups, and are mostly active at night and in the early morning in summer.
